Hannah’s 100% Pure African Shea Butter® After inspection and selection of seeds, extraction of Shea Butter follows these steps: 1. All nuts are washed and rinsed many times to remove potential molds and oils from bad nuts. 2. Washed nuts are sun dried to further expose bad nuts which are then picked out and removed from the good batch. 3. The good nuts are then grinded into powder using big-sized mortars for kneading. 4. Kneading involves an intensive process of mixing, washing and separation to prepare the mix for boiling in clay puts over wood burn fire. 5. Mixture is boiled in large clay pots for four to five days. 6. The effervescence is collected and the end product is 100% Shea Butter.
Hannah’s 100% Pure African Shea Butter® comes to you from Nigeria, West Africa with additional post-production handling in the USA to ensure purity as nature intends it. In our resolve to give you the best that nature has to offer in skin and hair care treatment/management, the following additional steps are taken by us before our name goes onto the label. These extra steps we take amounts to an additional seven hours (7hrs.) more spent on each calabash/gourd to justify our claim for purity: 1. We send samples to the American Shea Butter Institute for testing and grading to ensure the highest quality.
2. After grading, we slowly re-melt the 100% pure Shea Butter into liquid form and at room temperature
3. We micro-filter the liquid to remove any and all remaining debris or impurities from post manufacture and shipment handlings.
4. We re-mix for consistency of texture, cool and then package them in our jars for you with love and care.
